Custom Workshops
Our creative writing and multidisciplinary workshops have been enjoyed by established career artists and first-time writers alike, from short study groups in cultural centres to long creative writing courses in prisons. We are flexible with how we run, considering the organisation or group’s individual needs and best benefit to the people attending. Workshops can be tailored to fit your direct requirements or can use templates already available. Elkheart Editorial’s priority is to promote creativity in groups that may be otherwise overlooked, and to continue empowering new voices is our focus for 2025.
While we happily facilitate one-off workshops, part of our unique selling point is that we offer publishing and/or certificates for commissioned programmes of four workshops or more. Publishing may look like a week-long exhibition, a printed anthology/pamphlet, a public performance night, or other depending on your preference. Arts funding applications, bursaries, creative grants, and the chances of official collaborative invitation are significantly boosted with prior publishing and performance experience and we are proud to facilitate this concrete step-up for aspiring writers, providing what may be the first entry on their Writing/Artistic CV. Certificates do not count as publishing but can be used for overall CV expansion, in the courts or justice system as demonstration of reform, or as proof of personal achievement.
